I love being with the intersection of members of the church and homesteaders. I'm learning new things all the time and I enjoy meeting new members of this great group!
I have enjoyed this group immensely. It’s simple. If a person who loves the country life is seeking a long term relationship, a mutual appreciation for a homesteading lifestyle is fundamental. I enjoy the contributions that people are making to the page and Nicole’s administration here is remarkable.
Here we have met people we can call Friend, have been blessed with an incredibly helpful and attentive administrator, and good, honest people, who share the same beliefs, values and Gospel centered background melded together with our common interests in homesteading ... We are now engaged and will be sealed in the temple.
It's surprisingly difficult to find active members who are interested in homesteading, especially considering what numerous leaders within the faith have taught us about self reliance, growing a garden, food storage, frugality, health, and to be "in the world but not of the world". ...
It's been great to connect with people who feel the way I do, and want to do something to build a resilient life that is closer to nature, more focused on community, and closer to God.
